This is a better video of the basement family
room. We still have one more thing to get...if
I can find what I want. Until now...I haven't
found that certain thing.

This was the basement before we began to remodel. When we began the process we had to remove the paint that was on the walls. They were never primed and so we had to use a razor blade to chip the paint off the outside walls. When the carpet was removed we also had to use the razor blade to get the glue off the floor. It was black and sticky and the razor blade was the only way to remove it. I think that we did a good job of redecorating.

In fact...the woman that helped us with our furniture said that we worked well together picking out everything. She said that some people are there all day long trying to figure out what they want. We were there about 2 1/2 hours. That included picking up the clock that we got off the showroom wall.

We all went over to Bonny and Scott's home for a BBQ.
We had lots of good food and a fun time. Scotty and two
of her four children came for a visit and it was so good to
see her. We played spoons and Travis thought it was the
best game. He and all who played had a grand time.

I cut Anna's bangs and trimmed Zach and Travis' hair.
I cut Travis' hair and after a few weeks I realized that
I left it a little too long. I went over for Janelle's birthday
and cut it for the first day of school. I hope that he liked it.

Janelle and the kids came over for haircut and
just finishing when Sarah is crawling around and
begins to pull herself up on the highchair. She is
a go getter. She will be walking before you know
it. She is almost nine months. Her Dad took 14
steps across the front lawn when he was just six
months old. I think she is really pushing the limits
and also trying to keep up with her brothers and
sister.

Sammy, Abby, Jake, and Seth in a great brother sister moment!
And a great picture with my beautiful daughters. Thanks for
letting me take these pictures. It was fun...

Sometimes it is better to see the pictures than to see the video.
The colors are more vibrant. The room is not complete in
these photos and will do that soon.

We went over to Janelle's parents home for
Zach's recital of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
It is said that it is the hardest song to play and
there are so many variations. Zach presented
a beautiful program and received a Twinkle
trophy from his Grandma Rich, his violin teacher.

Well, the tree died...and it was time to take it down.
We considered hiring someone because the tree was
so high but after getting into doing it...it wasn't as bad
as we thought that it was going to be. The tree was
cut down and cleaned up in about 2 1/2 hours. Not too
bad for an old man and old woman to do.

July 29th Bonny picked me up to go to Aunt Jeanette and Uncle Buck's 50th wedding anniversary Party in Pocatello. We visited with their children, Lynn, Jill, Tammy, Curt. We also visited with Sandy and Amy, and Uncle Heber.
Went to dinner at Chili's when we got to Pocatello. Sandy and Amy went to a movie...Mama Mia!

4th of July

The 4th of July was a fun event for us. Dave invited us to the This is The Place State Park. They were having a fund raiser for their ward for Travis' scout troop. The put on a program where Travis played remarkably well I must say. After the program we walked up to the lake and watched the fireworks all over the valley. We had a great time. Thanks for the invite Dave!

Wow! Travis! You are Amazing...What Talent!

Max and the Banana

After a hard day of playing in the blow up pool
with Grandpa, Max was hungry. A banana did
the trick! We didn't know that he was so hungry!

Max 's 1st Birthday Party

A little late with the picture since his birthday was
a month ago. Thanks to Beki who showed me how to
enter the video.
We all had lots of fun at Beki's parents home.
Everyone was there to share Max's first birthday!

Remodeling the Basement or the Blair Witch Basement!

Well, the man of the house has been working in the "Pit" for three months now! We have purchased the paint when it was on sale at Home Depot. We got $5.00 of each gallon of paint and primer so we were happy about that. We also got the light fixtures, when we got the paint at Home Depot. We have also purchased curtains, pillows, and blinds which were 60% off at Penny's! So I saved some money which always makes me happy. We plan to start painting the first week of August. That is after the patching has had its time to cure.
Tight is a family word when it comes to spending money. We still have a lot to buy before we are finished. The couch, TV, computer table, etc. It doesn't matter if it takes a few more months to finish so we can have the money to purchase the other things.
All in all it will be nice when it is finished.

Fun in Mesquite!

We had a good time this week playing Keno, Hot Penny, Jacks or Better, etc. Had the best time playing Hot Penny. You have to get three of the same bonuses to be able to get 15 free spins. I was down to 56 cents and I hit it. My first spin I got $200.00. Wow! I was excited. By the end of the round I had won the $100.00 that I had put in plus $300.00 for the round. I was stoked. The next day we went to the Virgin River to play. I sat down at the same kind of machine and won $122.00 on the round. It kept hitting the bonuses.
We walked over to the Eureka Casino and we found a Denver Duck game. The used to have them in Wendover but they paid so well that they took them away. The only had one in Mesquite and we found it! It was fun to play but it still took my money.
All in all we had a good time and we played on their money which is even better.
We came to Beaver and took Lisa and Paul to dinner at the Can Cun Restaurant. Mexican food! Love it. I had enchilada Verdes and it was hot! Didn't know that Verdes was a hot sauce. Went back to Lisa's and we picked peas and raspberries. Lisa made raspberry shakes. Yum!!!! Then we watch 10,000 BC. It was a very interesting show. It was done well and it was interesting.
Okay! I am being very wordy and now I have just started my first blog spot. They are fun and very interesting. I hope that I will be able to keep this up and keep you all informed of what we are doing. Just for your fun and info. I will try to show videos that I take a family events.
